Our Audit Process
Structured, transparent, and efficient — minimising disruption to your business.
1

Engagement Planning

We issue an engagement letter, understand your business operations, identify key risk areas, and plan the audit scope and timeline.

2

Document Collection & Preliminary Review

We collect financial statements, ledgers, bank statements, invoices, and statutory records. A preliminary review identifies areas requiring detailed testing.

3

Audit Fieldwork

We verify balances, test transactions, confirm receivables and payables, check internal controls, and reconcile all figures with supporting evidence.

4

Management Discussion

Audit findings, queries, and adjustments are discussed with management. We work collaboratively to resolve issues and correct entries before finalisation.

5

Audit Report Issuance

The signed Auditor's Report, along with the Tax Audit Report (Form 3CD if applicable), is issued and filed well before the statutory deadline.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the due date for tax audit report submission?
The Tax Audit Report (Form 3CA/3CB and 3CD) must be filed by September 30 for most cases (or October 31 if transfer pricing applies). The income tax return for audit cases is due by October 31.
What is the penalty for not getting a tax audit done?
Failure to get a tax audit done when required attracts a penalty of 0.5% of total sales/gross receipts or ₹1,50,000 — whichever is lower. This is in addition to interest on unpaid taxes.
Can the same CA do both accounting and audit?
No. The Companies Act, 2013 prohibits the statutory auditor from also preparing the books of accounts for the same company. We maintain clear independence and can coordinate with your accountant.
How long does a statutory audit take?
For small companies, typically 2–4 weeks from the date all documents are made available. Larger companies with complex transactions may require 4–8 weeks. We maintain strict timelines.
What documents do you need to start the audit?
Finalised books of accounts, bank statements, invoices (sales and purchase), asset register, loan agreements, board resolutions, prior year financials, and all statutory registers. We provide a detailed checklist.
